Reel & Trigger Resort

Great quiet getaway! The resort, Terry, Lisa & the staff are all wonderful. My husband and I stayed at Reel & Trigger for the first time in 2015. We'd only been to Truman once before in 2014 and had stayed at Grand River, where we felt like we were at a wild college party, not our idea of a relaxing getaway. If you like to party hard on your vacation then Grand River is the place. If you're like us and want a mellow, peaceful, quiet relaxing vacation then you'll be very pleased with Reel & Trigger. We're so blessed to have found it. The entire staff is incredibly welcoming, warm, friendly and genuine. The resort is quiet, calm and a beautiful, peaceful, place to relax and unwind. It's just minutes from the State Park & Marina. The resort has a beautiful hiking trail that leads you to a bluff with a breath taking view of the Lake. They definitely don't charge enough for all that they provide. Reel & Trigger has become an annual trip, we make two trips a year if we can. We've been back to stay 4 more times since our first visit and we're heading down again next month and can not wait! You will not find a more inviting, friendly, convenient place to stay on Truman Lake. Whenever I call to book our spot, Lisa is always there to pick up the phone and after just one visit she remembered us. Terry & Lisa are truly genuine people, we are so fortunate to have them in our lives. Their website says "arrive as a stranger, leave as family" that quote could not be truer.

My wife and I stayed here a couple years ago. We was out driving around and she asked if I remembered where they was. We enjoyed our stay. So much I drove right to it. We talked to the owner he was great explaining things again and we gotten to see a beautiful scenery. We did not know about. Nice and loving people. Plan your stay there.

These cabins, especially the one i stayed in foe thw onw night i rented it are amazing! If your looming for a comfortable, peaceful , place to stay thats clean and has a very homey feel..then this is the place for u! My cabins beds both had memory foam mattresses i received a very good nights rest! Host was very nice and when i say this place was peaceful..i am serious when i say i never heard a sound!

Our stay in the Eagle’s Nest was amazing! It accommodated two families with a total of 4 tweens perfectly. The kitchen was stocked with all the pans and utensils for our grilling needs and the grill was new. There was ice, summer sausage, bottled water, charcoal, etc for sell in the office which was extremely handy! It was very peaceful and truly relaxing (even with 4 tweens). A perfect spot close to the lake!

It was our first visit and we absolutely loved it. Very quite and relaxing! The staff members were kind, friendly and professional. We stayed in the eagle nest cabin and it was surprisingly very spacious and had everything we needed—felt like home away from home. Very close proximity to the water. I would definitely recommend all visitors take the quick walk down the trail to take advantage of the breathtaking views of the lake. We are definitely visiting again!!!

Love love this place! The staff is super friendly! Loved our cabin. It's nice and quiet the cabin was super nice and clean. Also they are stocked with everything you need all you have to do is bring your own food to prepare. We have already recommended this place to our extended family. We will definitely come back here again and will be referring this place to everyone we know who comes out here to Warsaw. Our cabin has two bed rooms and one full bath and one small bathroom in one of the rooms. This one has 4 beds in it. A nice size living room with a couch and two recliners and a nice sized kitchen and a table big enough to sit 6 people.

This is our first time staying here and we will be returning! The cabin we stayed in was fully furnished and had everything we would need for our stay including a grill. We really enjoyed taking the short walk to the bluff that overlooked Truman lake. The grounds were clean, quiet, and peaceful.

We had a great time over the weekend. The only complaint was that firewood was a little over priced and also the dogs next door barked a lot. The kids seemed to have fun. The grill was gross. The grates need to be thrown out. We covered with foil, but it wasn’t the same as cooking straight on the grit but we made it work. Overall our stay was fine we were mostly on the lake all day anyways, but of the evening when we would come to the cabin to cook we would hear annoying dogs barking next and that upset my 2 year old a lot. Other than that, for $70 bucks night guess ya can’t beat it! I’m sure we’ll be back one of these days! Thanks again!
